TOLIBAS-MEJIA WEDDING PROJECT

After advocating the use of digital technology and the internet as a media to bond family, people , promote peace and development, environmental awareness, Barangay developmental projects, help raise funds for school organizations, disabled children; after Undersecretary Robert T. Rivera left for the United States leaving behind his show: Pilipinas Ngayon Na! off the air since January; and, after promoting Philippine Juicy Fruits on line to win an award as the 2008 'Most Promising All Female Group Performers' by the Asia Pacific Global Awards in an on line voting, Roy R. Luga went back to pour out his passion on - "Weddings", where it all started.

In his acceptance message, Roy R. Luga, remarked:

"It has been an honor to be asked by Mendel Tolibas and Jo-Ann Mejia", the brother of Melston and whose sister-in-law Gerlie, whose daughter Michelle is my son's schoolmate, to help him in this once in a lifetime project: "The Tolibas-Mejia Solemn Vow". It has been providential too that a team of multi-awarded and talented young and dynamic artists such as Juris De Leon, whose work "The Rubrics" won the 2008 Indie Film Award at FEU's College of Mass Communication and CARLA FONTANILLA, an 11-year old multi-awarded singer, the one who sings our banner theme "Mahal Kita", who are children of my long time friends way back in the Department of Agriculture: Beth De Leon and Al Fontanilla, have given their full support for Mendel and Jo-Ann.

"Family life starts with a wedding. It is the family, which is the basic institution of our society, our country, and the world per se - it is the very institution that serves as the foundation towards the future of our children and of this nation - and it starts in a wedding ceremony. While others proposes by placing an Ads in billboards, announcing in public places and by other mode, Mendel and Jo-Ann displayed their love and affection before the whole world, by producing a film, uploaded in You Tube coupled with a blogsite - a truly Filipino tradition (in the modern setting) of reminiscing bonds between families who shall stood behind and shall support these couple, to lay another foundation for our breed to propagate and move on towards a better future . . ."

"It has been an honor to document this affair and to welcome the couple and their family to our circle of friends and families -WORDLWIDE"

"MAHAL KITA", is a story of love without barrier in distance, time and place . . . where the man, after working abroad, comes back for the woman he loves - to fulfill a promise . . . a promise of marriage
